Welding & Assembly Fixtures

Custom fixtures were built to ensure accuracy during chassis manufacture. The monocoque was folded and bonded in CNC-cut MDF jigs that controlled panel angles within ±0.5°. For the tubular sections, the usual single welding fixture had to be divided into two: one for the rear spaceframe and another for the main roll hoop assembly. Each MDF sheet located the T45 tubes for tack welding, preventing distortion and guaranteeing alignment. These fixtures provided a low-cost, repeatable method to manufacture the hybrid chassis.
